Reporting to the Country Managing Director, the role will be responsible for overseeing and leading successfully the Commercial Banking business, comprising of Medium Local Corporate, Small & Medium Scale Enterprises, Non-government Public Sector clients. It will also be accountable for the Commercial Banking overall performances (increasing Revenues, Deposits, good quality Loans and Profitability through low operating costs, etc.):



  • Ensure the business segment meets all financial targets.
  • Assign business and revenue targets to the branches and Relationship Officers, monitor their performance to ensure they deliver on agreed targets.
  • Ensure that funds are optimally mobilized from customers.
  • Ensure that credit applications are reviewed and loan accounts are monitored on a regular basis to maintain a high portfolio quality.
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of Relationship Officers.
  • Improve overall business efficiency.


Strategic Management

  • Implement strategic actions as defined at Affiliate and Group level.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies for the Segment.
  • Ensure that all SBUs are developed in the Affiliate.
  • Set/define goals and targets and ensure they are achieved.
    Regularly review customer segment marketing strategies/customer plans and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Ensure that Management reports for the Group and the bank are prepared.
  • Oversee design and development of marketing strategies, products and pricing strategies for the business segment.
  • Ensure strong product penetration growth to achieve, at least comparable markets’ number of products / customers.
  • Ensure embedding of a strong strategy execution culture and practice.


Relationship Management

  • Develop and ensure that relationship management strategies are maintained in the bank.
  • Ensure that existing customer relationships are maintained and identify/establish new ones in conjunction with Relationship Officers.
  • Ensure that a comprehensive database of information on all existing relationships and prospective ones are kept.
  • Pay visits/make calls to existing customers with a view to maintaining/establishing good relationship with them.

Customer Service Management

  • Establish and sustain a customer-centric business culture, leveraging on people and technology by:
    • Identifying customers’ needs and proactively seek to provide products/services to meet
      such needs.
    • Ensuring that efficient customer service delivery is provided.
    • Providing general business advisory services to customers.


  • Masters’ degree in Business related studies
  • Minimum of 8 years banking experience, some of which must have been spent
    performing a similar role in a leading commercial Bank.

Reporting to the Country Managing Director & Regional Head, Consumer Banking, the role will be responsible for overseeing and leading successfully the Consumer Banking business across the Country. This is made up of the customer sub segments – Premier, Advantage, Classic and Youth, Diaspora and Product lines: CASA, Banc Assurance, Cards products, Digital channels, Remittances and Assets Products.

This role is accountable for the Consumer Banking business overall performance and P&L.


Business and Financial performance

  • Lead in-country Consumer Banking strategic objectives implementation. Drive initiatives for growth, Identify and analyse business growth.
  • Manage the process around market sizing, competitive analysis and scenario planning for the Business country wide
  • Key objective is to develop a sustainable business capable of delivering superior return on equity, and above market profits, revenue and customer acquisition growth.
  • Manage Consumer Banking sales/revenue and profitability momentum in the affiliate.
  • Achieve lowest cost to serve (CIR) ratio and NPL ratio in the market
  • Conduct regular Business performance and profitability reviews.

Customer Excellence

  • Drive customer service excellence and ensure competitive solutions and products are consistently delivered to Consumer Banking clients.
  • Establish and sustain a customer-centric business culture, leveraging on people and technology
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction as measured and monitored through Customer feedback surveys

Leadership and People Management

  • Motivate and lead team to achieve consistent profitability through a clear process of target settings.
  • Conduct regular People performance and productivity reviews and build healthy talent pipeline.

Strategic initiatives

  • Lead migration of customers to digital channels
  • Ensure embedding of a strong strategy alignment compliance and execution culture and practice within Consumer Banking in the Bank.
  • Lead strategic initiatives that will create business growth, position Consumer Banking as a premier Consumer Banking business in the country while increasing shareholders value.
  • Champion cost management initiative within Consumer Banking business.


  • At least 8 years in leadership role supervising a consumer/electronic banking based line of business and people in the banking industry.
  • Sound business and people development performance record
  • Strong knowledge of digital and e-Banking products and channels
  • High level of national exposure and ability to negotiate with client organizations at a national decision-making level.
  • FMCG or Telco type background and exposure will be an advantage
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree preferably in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Marketing, Engineering or related field of study.

Job Purpose

Key Accountabilities

  • Manufacture required equipment components in required time using machines to facilitate maintenance work;
  • Undertake skimming and shaping duties on mechanical components to accurately shape the component to the required specification;
  • Ensure that drilling, milling and slotting tasks on components are accurately accomplished to meet required specifications;
  • Carry out required modifications on mechanical system components to improve existing system equipment performance;
  • Engrave tugs for proper identification of equipment within the system;
  • Keep records to assist in work scheduling and costing purpose;
  • Carry out machining activities in the most effective and efficient manner to ensure that same are performed right the first time;
  • Undertake any other job that may be assigned to him from time to time in compliance with company programmes of multi-skilling;
  • Undertake and complete given assignment within allocated time frame to avoid unnecessary overtime;
  • Ensure that all company resources under the section are used solely for company purposes and that there is no misuse of assets such as vehicles, tools etc.

Education Program Officer

Job Description

The Education Program Officer is responsible for overseeing academic quality among Impact Network schools. Working as a direct point of contact to Teacher Supervisors and moving across all school sites to provide support, the key aim of the Education Program Officer role is quality assurance. This position requires excellent communication skills and knowledge of how to support the improvement of educational quality in rural schools.

Responsibilities and expectations include:

  • Take a leading role in field work across school sites to ensure that education targets are met and the eSchool 360 model is effectively implemented.
  • Provide ongoing support and supervision to Teacher Supervisors in their roles as ‘coaches’ for teachers’ professional development
  • Review weekly lesson observation reports and monthly education reports to provide feedback and advice to Teacher Supervisors on how they can better help teachers improve their teaching practice.
  • Act as a liaison between the Head of Academics and Data Coordinator at head office, and education field staff to ensure good communication, timely submission of reports and quality outputs.
  • Support the Education Team in developing teacher training content and ensure effective monthly and termly teacher training sessions.
  • Manage the work of the School Support Officers and their roles to integrate Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) into the curriculum and pilot various data and education initiatives.
  • Visit school sites on a weekly basis and co-chair meetings at site offices with the Senior Operations Manager.
  • Liaise with the Operations Team regarding specific school needs, student attendance, PTA involvement and overall school performance in a timely manner.
  • Act as a representative of Impact Network in collaborating and liaising with the Zonal Education Offices.
  • Ensure all reporting is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Additional tasks based on organizational needs.


  • Candidates should have a college degree in Education in conjunction with 3+ years relevant work experience.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships and present diplomatic solutions to obstacles encountered
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal in Cinyanja and English

The Head Trading is responsible for the development and implementation of the Treasury trading strategy. The role holder will play a key role in managing the dealing room with emphasis on trading and execution and will spearhead the market making function of Treasury.

Under the supervision of the Treasurer, the following are among the Job Key Responsibilities:-

  • To provide critical input in the Bank’s overall Asset and Liability Management (ALM) strategy.
  • To maximize foreign exchange and money market trading income through effective fundamental and technical market analysis.

  • To effectively trade Money Market Instruments to ensure strategic Asset & Liability alignment in accordance with overall ALM strategy.

  • To effectively provide pricing to perform the market-making role in order to achieve price discovery.
  • To ensure the right Asset/Liability portfolio mix in line with strategy.
  • To manage liquidity mismatches via execution of strategy and manage maturity mismatches via execution of strategy.
  • To review mark to market valuations on the securities portfolio in liaison with the Middle Office.
  • To provide informed strategic decisions to effectively perform the daily forex and money markets trading.
  • To anticipate stakeholder (Central Bank, Ministry of Finance, commerce bodies,Stock Exchange etc.) actions in order to formulate business planning.
  • To develop and promote new Treasury Products and services as required by Treasury internal and external customers.
  • To provide input into the Treasury Business Plan that encompasses and supports the Treasury vision.
  • To execute defined servicing model for Forex Trading/Money Markets.
  • To ensure that all regulatory requirements are met and that all internal policies and procedures are complied with.

  • Grade 12 Credit or above mandatory in Mathematics and English and any other three subjects.
  • University Degree in relevant subject.
  • MBA is an added advantage.
  • Treasury Qualification such as ACI or ACT.
  • At least five (5) years Treasury experience.
  • Knowledge of the Banking/Treasury products, services and policies and/or other specialist knowledge required to undertake the role.

Purpose of the Job

Reporting to the Head Retail and Business Banking, the job holder will be required to drive and deliver exceptional retail business performance, throuoh the provision of efficient business management, powerful leadership, team development and achievement of operational rig our excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities

i) People Management:

  • Achieve target sales service, working with the team leaders and branch staff through in-branch business development activities, effective Banking Hall management and providing feedback to the team.
  • Build and develop a high performing team through embedding performance development and coaching. Ensure that team members recel ve coaching and feedback in order to develop to achieve their maximum potential.

ii) Business Management

  • Budget accountability by way of being responsible for achieving annual sales targets as agreed with the Head of Retail and Business Banking and monitoring of progress towards achieving targets is done on a monthly basis.
  • Responsibility for maintaining a healthy balance sheet in the branch i.e. ensunng the assets on the books of the branch are performing to expected standards, that low quality assets are kept to a minimum and that the earnings contribution of the branch is within acceptable levels Brand, Product and Business proposition by providing clear direction to branch staff on the Investrust Bank Retail businessobjectives, translating and prioritizing into business performance measures at branch level.

iii) Rigour/Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with operations risk and rig our requirements e.g. health & safety standards, security of premises, KYC and anti-money laundering measures.

iv) Customer Service

  • Take ownership of queries complaint resolution processes and review monthly trend analysis and provide input into action plans to prevent recurrence,

v) Administration

  • Provide feedback on the performance or service delivery of external service providers (such as courier service, cleaning service etc. ) to the senior manager and Head office procurement, to assist them with future contracts.

Qualifications and Experience

  • University Degree in Business Administration or other relevant discipline
  • At least 3 years retail supervisory experience
